At Sasquatch Studio, we strive to build apps that are good citizen on your iPhone and iPad. That includes minimum data collection on our end. As a summary to our privacy policy:
- Our Apps store user data locally and with iCloud. We simply don’t have access to your user data.
- Our Apps use RevenueCat to handle purchase data. This is required for the app’s functionality.
- Our Apps use Google Analytics to understand how users engage in the app, and to plan features.
- Our Apps may work with ad partners. If you grant permissions to track you in the app, our partners may collect your identifier to serve you with more relevant ads both inside and out of Our Apps.
User Data
User data are stored locally on the device and—if iCloud is enabled on supported apps—synced with iCloud. The user owns their data. There is no 3rd party server that stores user data.
We the developer cannot see user data unless you explicitly share them with us via iCloud.
Purchase Data
Our Apps utilize RevenueCat to check for in-app purchases and validate them with the App Store. RevenueCat generates a random device ID that it uses, and may tie this ID to App Store receipts. We may therefore know that two RevenueCat IDs belong to the same user. RevenueCat reports metrics in aggregate such as total income and active users over a period of time. This is required for the app’s functionality.
Analytics Data
We use Google’s Firebase Analytics to collect performance, quality and statistical data. This is to improve the quality of our apps, understand where crashes may happen, and to plan app features.
These data are collected anonymously and are only in aggregate. We don’t collect personally identifying data with Firebase, and frankly don’t quite care. Simply put, your data is a liability to us, not an asset.
